Lay down the red carpet...
The outfit's just right, the accessories match perfectly and the perfume's already making you heady. Now it's just time to get the make-up in place to dazzle the red carpet. Ten lovely women share with Deepali Dhingra the wonder products behind their drop-dead-gorgeous looks!
Amrita Rao
“Laura Mercier Primer has been my best beauty find. Not many people give importance to primer but it is very necessary to apply before putting on the base as it blocks the pores and prevents the make-up from coming in touch with the skin," says Amrita who excelled in her role of a demure bride-to-be in Vivaah. In Anil Kapoor’s Shortkut digresses from her girl-next-door image and plays a glam diva.
"I think the most important thing you need to highlight on your face are the lips. If you contour your lips well, then you're half set. I go for earthy colours in Chambor," she adds.

Sameera Reddy
"I like YSL mascara because it gives me a very glam doll look. It doesn't clump up like other mascaras do and makes my lashes look really thick and long, which is a good thing because I hate wearing false lashes," says actress Sameera Reddy who is best-known for her sizzling Bollywood numbers. In terms of skincare, she says Dr. X Illuminator is one of the most breakthrough products she has come across. “This cream brings a glow to the skin. I've been using it for over a year now and it has really made a difference to the way my skin looks and feels."

Perizaad Zorabian
"I've been using Bobby Brown Peach Blush for over a year now. It really gives a stunning peaches and cream complexion and makes me glow. And the best part is it looks really natural," says the actress who has made a mark in offbeat films such as Bollywood Calling, Joggers Park, Morning Raga and Mumbai Matinee. She believes Artistry Day and Night Creams are her magic lotions. "I have no patience for facials and these two are enough to give me the required glow. In fact, when I run out of it, my face looks visibly duller."

Reshma Bombaywala
"I swear by Angels on Bare Skin cleanser by Lush. I've been using this product for the past three years now and along with cleansing the skin, it exfoliates it and does away with blemishes too," says model/actor Reshma Bombaywala. Ground almonds gently exfoliate, rose absolute tones and lavender oil soothes. A pea-sized amount mixed with water in the palm of your hand to create an even paste is all you need. She adds, "I like my lashes long and full and Lancome's mascara is the only one which manages to do both."

Mandira Bedi
“You Rebel cream by Benefit is a face cream with a slight tint to it. It's the best thing to have on your face when you don't want too much make-up on. There are times I've gone out wearing only this and kajal and it goes with all skin tones, depending on how much you put on," shares actress Mandira Bedi, who shot to international fame as a television presenter during the 2003 Cricket World Cup. Talking about skin care she says, "I'm not a loyalist because I feel skin reacts better when you keep introducing some change to it. So I alternate between Neutregena face scrub or M.A.C Green Gel cleanser."

Queenie Dhody
"I've been using Kryolan under eye concealer for a while now and I find that it's very effective," reveals the high profile jewellery designer. Kryolan worldwide is considered most effective and long lasting professional makeup for the concealment of tattoo, scars and skin pigment displacements. She also swears by the hydrating qualities of Creme de La Mer, an intensive treatment to dramatically diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, scars, blemishes and dark undereye discolourations.

Minissha Lamba
"A good foundation does wonders for the way I look and I trust the one by Bobby Brown. I like lipcolours by MAC, Bobby Brown and Makeup Forever too,” says the petite actress who has been one of the popular faces introduced in Bollywood in the recent years. She also swears by Nutregena Deep Clean facial wash. “It restores the PH balance of the skin and is perfect for the kind of weather we have here."

Mugdha Godse
"One of my must have make-up items is my M.A.C eye pencil in smoky black because it gives a very good smugded look without actually smudging and is waterproof, so it lasts longer," says the latest ‘it’ girl in Bollywood who makes her debut in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion. Her skin care essential is Clinique All Day Moisturiser. "It is a non-greasy mosituriser and it takes care of my skin in this heat."

Simone Singh
"I like all Kiehls' products but I find their lip balm especially good,” says the pretty actress who has a spate of popular television shows in her oeuvre. Off screen, she makes waves with her eclectic fashion sense and cream-n-peaches complexion. Kiehl’s Lip balm is a moisturising, soothing treatment for dry, parched lips to relieve the discomfort of dryness and leave the lips soft and supple.

Hansikaa Motwani
"I don't apply much make-up unless it's a special occasion or a shoot but I always make sure that I have a M.A.C Sheer Lip Balm and my Biotique kajal pencil ready for any on the spur of the moment event or function!" This teenaged actress was a popular child star before she starred as the leading lady in Himesh Himesh Reshammiya's Aap Kaa Surroor.
