Look Glam: Anywhere, Anytime
Be a glam diva always with SIBILLE BUCHHOLZER-JUEN, make-up expert, giving you a step-by-step guide

After OFFICE dinner
The look: Sophistication embodied
In order to look fresh and not drained out from a long day at work, you need to freshen up or retouch your make-up quickly before you go out for dinner.

Foundation: If you don’t have the time to go home and get ready, and you need to re-apply your foundation again, just remove the traces left from during the day with some wet tissue wipes. Apply some liquid foundation all over the face and blend well. Even out minor skin discolourations and lighten shadows under the eye with a concealer. Set the foundation and concealer with some compact powder. Add a touch of blush on your cheeks, chin and nose tip. This will give you a radiant look!

Eyes: Eyebrows should be filled in with an eyebrow pencil. Apply a soft eye shadow in a natural colour on the entire, mobile eyelid, use some of your blusher and apply it on the brow bone, but very soft. This will awaken your eyes, which might have got tired from working all day in front of a computer. Some highlighter just on the highest point of the eyebrow will open the eyes. If you have an eye pencil or kohl pencil in your make up bag, just apply it and draw a line smudge it a little, to give a soft touch to the eyes.

Lips: Re-apply your lipstick, and a touch of gloss, spray some perfume and you are ready to go for your dinner with your work colleagues.

Bourjois products I recommend: FOND DE TEINT PINCEAU brush foundation, BLUSH BOURJOIS famous little round pot blusher, EFFET 3 D lip gloss

ITS PARTY TIME!!
The look: Smoking hot! Remember that smoky make-up looks best after an hour, when the colours are in perfect harmony and melted together.

Foundation: Use a liquid foundation and add in a little of our face illuminating base. Set the face with a light brush of loose powder. Hide dark circles with a good coverage concealer. This mixture will allow you to have a great fresh looking base for your make-up, which is light and allows the skin to breathe whilst the skin illuminator will leave you with a radiant glow. Add a touch of blush on your cheeks, nose, chin and forehead.

Eyes: One of most dramatic looks for evening is the smoky eye. This classic way of applying eye make-up is the most sensual and with a little twist it will look great for your party night.

* Apply liquid eyeliner in black or dark grey and blend it over the entire mobile eyelid, then apply grey or brown eye shadow with a slight hint of glitter or shimmer.
* Apply from just above the upper lash line to just above the crease of the eye so that you can see a hint of brown/grey when the eye is open.
* Now working from the inside of the eye towards the outside on the lid sweep some black matt eye shadow on the lower part of the eye i.e. below the crease not going more than half way towards the outside of the eye.
* Next use an applicator with a little black eye shadow and draw a line across the top lash line and a little extra to the top outer corners.
* Now you just need to apply a little sparkly nude or white eye shadow just below the brow and on the inner corner of your eye.
* Lightly line the bottom of your eye with an applicator from the outside of the eye to the inside so that the darkness gradually fades as it gets closer to the middle where you will stop lining.
* Coat your lashes with a few coats of your favourite mascara.

Lips: No party make-up could be complete without a splash of natural/ nude lipstick or lip cream and a touch of gloss to the centre of the lips to add some volume and shine.

A CANDLE LIGHT DINNER
The Look: Warm, Radiant Natural looking make-up would be your best bet. Something soft and pretty.

Foundation: Go for very natural, fresh and radiant finish. You will achieve that by applying a liquid foundation only where needed, but you will have to choose a shade that exactly matches your natural skin tone. Once the foundation is applied set it with some loose powder to make the foundation stay in place. If you have dark circles under the eyes, hide them with a concealer. Apply a hint of blush on the apple of your cheeks, (to find them look into the mirror and smile). To choose the right shade of blush, try to match it with the lipstick colour.

Eyes: Pick a main eye shadow colour that flatters you. If you have warm skin tones, go for corals, salmons, peaches and browns as the main eye shadow colour. Coral eye shadow over the entire eyelid, balanced with a smoky charcoal or dark brown in the crease of the lid and a shimmery beige for highlights. If your eyes are dark brown or black, a contrasting colour like lilac might work better. Use a pale shimmer for your highlighter. If your skin colour is warm, go for a pale gold highlighter or a shimmery warm beige or very pale shimmery peach. If you are dark, go for amber or a darker gold.

For a bit more glamour, line your eyes with an eye liner. It’s a must, and with the right techniques and products, it can be an easy weapon at your disposal. And for a touch of extravagance, apply a lot of mascara, but be sure the lashes are separated — a sure-fire way to make your eyes stand out. If you want to apply several coats on your lashes, you need to wait for the first coat to dry before applying a second and third coat if required. One coat is enough on lower lashes.

Lips: For beautiful chic lips, draw your lip line with a lip pencil, and fill them a little with the same liner. Choose a shade of lipstick that matches the lip liner.

Wear some nice fragrance, dress up very elegant, a little black dress and some nice heels are always in fashion, accessorise smart, and you are ready to go and enjoy your candle light dinner.

Bourjois products I recommend: COMMES APRES 10 HEURES DE SOMMEIL 10 hours sleep effect foundation, BLUSH BOURJOIS famous little round pot blusher, EFFET LUMIERE trio eye shadow

Guru Mantra:
* Use the eye-liner right: Sit with your elbows on the table, facing your mirror with a good overhead light and your chin lifted. Now you're ready to start. With the brush in one hand, stretch your eyelid lightly using your other hand and apply from the outer edge of the eye, drawing a line level with the lash line towards the inner corner of your eye. It might not seem like the obvious way to do it, but you will know when to stop!
* Get that perfect pout: To get the perfect lips apply a foundation or concealer on your lips, blend it well and set it with loose powder. Once the foundation is set, line the lips with a matching lip liner colouring a little into the lip itself. You can now apply your favourite lipstick using a lip brush working from the outer of the lip to the inside. You can leave the lips matt or coat with your favourite gloss with or without sparkle.
* For long lasting lip colour: To make the lipstick stay on your lips longer apply the first coat, then blot with tissues, and apply a second coat of the same. For a fresh burst of colour, apply a final touch of gloss over your lipstick at the centre of the lower lip.
* Naturally made up: People wrongly assume if they choose a lighter shade of foundation, they will look more natural. The truth is you will get the opposite result! You will look tired and totally made up. The idea of natural fresh looking make-up is that it does not show that you are wearing much make-up. You will know that you have done it right if your friends or family will say, “Wow you look good, have you been on a holiday?” If they say, “Your make-up is really nice”, you know that you have erred somewhere with your natural look.
