“A good perfume is like an aura; it is an extension of your being. It is also an absolute must-have against Mumbai’s humid weather. Initially, I experimented with different scents and could boast of extensive collection. However, over the last few years, I have settled on two brands and am faithful to them. One of them is the Clinique Happy, which has an invigorating lingering aroma. The scent is truly in sync with its name. For the evenings, I prefer Tommy Hilfiger’s True Star.”

Quite content with his present selection, he is now looking forward to creating a scent that is unique to him. He explains, “There is a shop in London where you need to spend time sampling different fragrances. After some deliberation, a special scent is created and named after you. I plan to visit this perfume outlet during my next trip to London.”

”Perfumes are more than just indulgences; they give us a separate identity. A good perfume works like an energy booster — it can uplift your mood. For the last four years, I have been completely devoted to a perfume by Issey Makey. But occasionally, I do use fragrances by Versace and Giorgio Armani. A fresh, fruity fragrance is appropriate for day wear. For the evenings, I prefer a spicy fragrance.”

“I have always been fond of deodorants and perfumes. It’s important to smell good and I am particular about my fragrance. My collection includes perfumes by Cartier, Calvin Klein and Polo Blue. Earlier, I would buy a number of perfumes, but for the last three years I’ve been using Cool Water by Davidoff. I find it absolutely refreshing. I prefer woody scents to floral ones. I want to pick up the Michael Jordan perfume. I have heard a lot about it.”

Sonali Kulkarni Actress
“I love natural scents; wet earth after the first rainfall. I like perfumes, which have a soft lingering and pleasant aroma. During the day, I prefer Cool Water by Davidoff, which is light and breezy. It’s very feminine. In the evenings, I like to wear Happy by Clinique which is floral and fresh. I occasionally spray on some Hugo Boss perfume too.”
